Hey T-Bone is D’Arc. You need to post those awesome photos of you and your dad swimming in the Atlantic Ocean @ LaRonde in mid-August. 3 days in a row of perfect calm ocean water!! you did it buddy. What a fantastic accomplishment. Hope all is well @ GTown. Maybe we can get together for Nova vs GTown during hoops season. GO CATS!

Hi Taylor,
I am a sixth grader at Oak Knoll School in Summit. You visited my school about a month ago and gave a very insperational speech to us. After you left I looked at my life through different eyes. Now, I believe that if you can do the things that you do I can over come all of my challenges, big and small. I really enjoyed listening to you talk about your life. ALso,thanks sooo much for the prayer bracelets i wear mine all the time!! hope you are doing well, i hope we can talk sometime!! please e-mail me!!!!!!

Emily — January 8, 2009 at 2:53 pm

Hey Taylor!!:)

When u talked at Oak Knoll {my school} i was inspired. U rlly adapted quickly. When u talked, it was like u wern’t in that wheelchair. Also, u just got over it and dealt with it, insted of hiding and living in the past. Honestly, u made me think twice. Before u talked 2 us, i would think about pretty little things being big. Now, i think about u and step back and think, ” it rlly isn’t that bad.” Girls in my school r wearing the bracelets with a lot of letters filled. My bracelet only has around 6 letters filled in but it’ll be done soon!! Again, Thanks so much for coming 2 our school. U rlly inspired a lot of people!!! Thanks!! :)

Heyyy Taylor. Happy New Year!! Thanks a bunch for coming to Oak Knoll. I was really inspired by your presentation. When you were done with your presentation, my friend and I came up to you. We are trying to send Save Darfur awareness bracelets to celebrities. Well, we took your advice and we are writing a letter to George Clooney explaining to him what we are doing and we are going to send him a bracelet once we get them. Thanks a bunch!!!!! :)

Thanks for visiting Oak Knoll. I really enjoyed your presentation. I am very motivated to make a difference now. If you can make such a big difference in the lives of others, then imagine how much of a difference my class (of 18 kids) can make! Also, thanks for the Prayer Bands. I wear mine all the time. Happy ‘09!

Taylor,

I’m happy to read you’re doing well and “living life”. I too suffer a C5-6 spinal cord injury bakin in 1977 when I was 18 diving into Lake George in upstate NY. I spoke at length to your mother a little over a year ago at a Delbarton fundraiser (I’m friends with the Stenger family) and we discussed your situation and what I’ve gone through in my 31 years post accident.

I hope you keep going forward. You have two choices as I’m sure you are well aware. Live every day to the max and enjoy what you’ve got or sit back and feel sorry for yourself and lrt life pass you by. Keep going for it!

If you’d like to get together to discuss thing, send me an email and I’ll be happy to send my phone number. Thake care and be well.

Hi Taylor,

We met you yesterday at Georgetown when we were visiting. Thank you very much for taking the time to stop and talk with us. You made us feel very welcome-true to the welcoming Delbarton Bendictine tradition, of course.

Your website is amazing- very interesting and informative. The pictures especially tell your moving and powerful story. We were not surprised to see the Delbarton community supporting you. It truly is a blessing to be a part of that community which stays with you for life.

You are an incredible young man! Your courage and determination is an inspiration to us all. We wish you all the best in your studies at Georgetown and in your promising business career you look forward to on Wall Street. God Bless You and our prayers are with you!

When we visit Georgetown again, we’ll be sure to look you up.

Sincerely,
Mrs Gobbo and Erik

Hi, Taylor. I know your parents and grandparents from Bay Head. Saw your grandmother last summer, both in Bay Head and Lawrence, LI. Our daughter is a 10th grader at Episcopal HS (Alexandria, Va.) and heard you speak there last semester–thought you were a “cool dude”. Please ask your mom to send me an email.

Hey Taylor!
I just sent this to your mom, too. Sitting on the corner of Ackerman and Godwin, it was really hard to tell which of you had the biggest grins as the parade passed by. What a tribute! And what an inspiration you continue to be. Thanks

Hey Taylor have been thinking about you and meaning to check out your site/progress. Needless to say I am awed by what you have accomplished and where you are in your life. You look great too in those pictures! Glad you are enjoying Georgetown. I just attended my 15 year reunion at Villanova this past weekend and I can tell you these freindships you are making now will last forever. Best of luck for the rest of school and have fun. Hi Taylor,
I was directed to your amazing website by Kathy Breslin. Kathy and I got to know each other through UVA lacrosse. On Feb. 2, 2007 , my godson had a diving accident in Seattle and suffered a C-6 spinal cord injury. He, like you is a wonderful young man. Your inspirational story will go far to help Stuart and his family as they are in just the beginning stages of this journey.
Thank you so much.

Hi Taylor:

Remember me? It’s Gina Vergel, who interviewed you for that series I wrote for The Ridgewood News.
I wanted to drop in and say hi! I’m now working for the Home News Tribune in East Brunswick, NJ, we cover Middlesex County. I surf your site every now and again to see what’s going on with you. Seems like you have been doing GREAT!

I hope you’re having a blast at Georgetown. Tell your mom and dad I said hello!

Gina Vergel — January 15, 2007 at 8:10 pm

Hey, Big Guy:
I’m writing you on New Year’s Day….recovering from a late night last night and now taking in a lot of football on TV. Despite going to the Eagles game yesterday and starting my Christmas thank you notes, I also took time to reflect on the last year. 2006 was full of change for us all and I’m sure you’ll agree, there’s been quite a lot in your life, too.

Your mom tells me that you are thriving at G’town and I couldn’t be happier to hear this. The pictures on this site also tell me a lot about how rich your life is there.

I’ve got $ 20 bucks that say Eagels over Giant’s next weekend. What do you think?

All the best,
