Georgetown Alum Meghan Devaney ’05 and a really good friend of Taylor’s decided to run the ING NYC Marathon on November 4, 2007 as a member of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Foundation’s “Team Reeve”. Meghan’s tremendous efforts raised about $4,000 and she finished the marathon in very good time too. Taylor was so touched and proud of Meghan for doing this. Thank you Meghan!!!

Last night, Taylor attended the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Foundation’s “A Magical Evening”, an annual fundraiser that is always a very special night. Accompanying Taylor were his parents, good friend from Georgetown Kelly Donovan, Vineyard Vines Co-founders and CEOs Shep and Ian Murray, Shep’s wife Margo, Jimmy Kenny, and Bill and Eileen Araskog. Once again, the message of finding a cure for paralysis was delivered with passion by Matthew, Alexandra and Will Reeve, who continue the mission that Chris and Dana started. All guests were entertained by a number of Robin William’s jokes and performances by the casts of Grease and Legally Blonde. Over $2 million were raised that will continue to fund all CDRF initiatives.

On November 16th, Taylor spoke at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA for approximately 600 students and faculty. Taylor delivered his message on overcoming adversity, continuing to pursue your life goals and dealing with self-image. This speech officially signified the commencement of Taylor’s “speaking tour”. Thanks to Bitsy and Johnny Motley for helping to arrange this opprotunity.

Taylor was again given a once in a lifetime opprotunity last night when he attended a small dinner in honor of the U.S. Women’s Solheim Golf Team. After having Morgan Pressel as a great dinner partner, Taylor and the rest of the Ladies spent the night on the town in Georgetown laughing, dancing and just getting to know one another better. Thanks to Morgan Pressel, Paula Creamer, Nicole Castrale, Cristie Kerr, Juli Inkster, Brittany Lincicome and the rest of the team for a memorable experience.
